new dutch photography talent 2019 by gup

I’m super excited to have been selected as one of the 100 New Dutch Photography Talents for 2019 by the International Photograpy Magazine GUP.

As a part of this three of my photos have been published in the New Dutch Photo Talent 2019 book

The book launch and exhibition opening took place on November 24th at the Melkweg Expo in Amsterdam. It was an amazing experience to be part of this event and see so many talented photographers together.

art of football project

Recently I participated in a project of Art of Football from the UK. It’s called The Universal Language and the aim of the project for AoF is to get photo shoots of their football t-shirts in countries all over the world.

I collaborated with my friends from SPACCIO Europe, who supplied the jackets and did the styling of the models.

The location of the shoot was Utrecht (NL) and of course, as always, everything was shot on film. The only difference this time was that everything had to be shot in colour.

I usually don’t shoot color film, so this was a great way to gain new experience. I sent the film to a specialized lab for development and scanning. Cameras that I used are the Hasselblad Xpan & the Hasselblad 503 CX. All photos were shot on Kodak Portra 400, pushed to 800.

You can view all the photos from this shoot here in my portfolio

exhibition icelandscapes

Last week my new exhibition called ‘Icelandscapes’ launched. It’s a shared exhibition with my good friend and photographer Willem van der Sman

We went on a trip to Iceland together last year to shoot photos of this beautiful island. During our six-day journey we visited a lot of locations we had on our list, but also explored unplanned sites.

When we made the selection for the exhibition it turned out that most of our favourite photos were shot at places we stumbled upon. This didn’t really come as a surprise as we liked the places that we explored spontaneously the best.
